Captinheinry says, "ok so i have a question what's everyone's hardest puzzle becasue even though pete you say sailing's hardest i have found that carping is hardest for me..."

Gangrenepete says, "Combos and speed are all that matters in sails. Clearin the platforms just gives ye a new board, really, so if ye can keep makin big combos on the board ye got, do it."
Gangrenepete says, "I try to make a single board last as long as I can."
Gangrenepete says, "It really is best to build from the bottom, if ye can access it, leavin one piece open to be filled by a level before it. This creates a chain."
Gangrenepete says, "Note that links of the chain do not necessarily need to be platforms, they can be stacks of unwanted pieces above and below platforms, too."

Gangrenepete says, "I build unwanted pieces on top, so the last piece the platform needs to be cleared drops into place from breaking the unwanted pieces above the platform"
Gangrenepete says, "Try to make big chains to achieve a double, triple, bingo, donkey, vegas... and more."
Captinheinry says, "if I might recomend it listen to fast music of whatever genre you like because in sailing speed is key"
Gangrenepete says, "I almost never just finish a single platform by itself, without a minimum of a double, cause they're so easy to do."

Gangrenepete says, "Use the spacebar to get the pieces down faster. The puzzle is set on time. The longer you take to complete a combo, you risk the chance of dropping on the DR."
Gangrenepete says, "and lowering your score and losing your sparkly sails"
Gangrenepete says, "Once ye have the sparklies in sails, ye can pause to breathe for quite a while without losin the sparklies, but I don't recommend it. Start working immediately on your next combination."

Gangrenepete says, "and the last tip I have atm is If ye mess up yer board horribly, like with a misflip at the top, it is better to booch it than abandon."
Gangrenepete says, "Abandoning and retaking, as with all puzzles, creates a "punishment" period, where ye have blue sails/pump/brown hammer for about a minute"

Gangrenepete says, "I try to minimize movement of crew from one station to the other, Ms"

Gangrenepete says, "so when you leave sails and go to carp, and leave carp and go back to sails, it takes a long time to get the wind back in your sails"

Gangrenepete says, "You'll often see me have a poor on the DR at the very first lp, because I'm busy building the combos. But once I got those, it's very easy to maintain an incredible for the rest of the sail, as long as I don't abandon the station"

Gangrenepete says, "Unless it's a real emergency, stay on until the ship reaches the next league point (lp) to keep her safe from being attacked shorthanded."
Gangrenepete says, "Leslieann told me that people avoid my interarch's because they think I expect them to stay from beginning to end."
